Africa is a black race that was rooted in animism, idolatry and deep heathenism resulting to the anger of God, poverty, failures, curses, demonism and the control of strange spirits in the land. Gospel ministries in Africa are completely different from other parts of the world. Every successful ministry in Africa without comprehension dealing on curses, ancient covenants, idolatary, evil altars, demons and the ancestral cults must surely fail.

The foundations of the Africans are different from others because the ancestors of the Africans were great slaves to demons and powers of darkness whom they served. We shall here treat

(A) THE INTRICACIES OF CURSES

Our discussion today shall not major on church growth, prosperity, good health, success neither on progress in life and in ministries, but we shall major our teaching on the issues that hinder church growth, church planting, church expansion, personal prosperity, success and personal progress.

Number without ceasing, church leaders deal and treat many positive ideas that shall lead to miracles and growth, but often forgotten the negative issues that can hinder growth and success.

Your church, your family, ministry and plans supposed to grow and yield more fruits than you see them today, what is the cause? There is something hidden that eats the crops and these hidden reapers shall we discuss today.
One of the reapers of the African effort today are, curses in the land, curses in the family, curses at home and curses in the possessions.

1 . WHAT ARE CURSES?

 

Curses are the literal punishment from God to the offenders. Curse is also referred as the anger of God upon a man upon a family, generation or upon a nation. Curses are hostile treatments to sinners because of their rebellions.


2. HOW CURSES MANIFEST

 

Curses have many ways they manifest which include death of breadwinners in the family, poverty, failure in the ministry, stagnant church growth, church crisis, poor church activities, peaceless church, peaceless family, business failure, ministry failure, dis-favour, receiving evil where you did good, disappointments, long spinisterhood, barreness, childlessness, frequent miscarriages, frequent storms, famine in the land, land disputes, enmity, oppressions, hunger, hardship, sufferings, abrupt liquidation of ministry or business, labour without fruits, efforts without results, diligence without fatness and all sorts of sorrowful experiences in life.

3. HOW DO THE CURSES COME?

Curses are the inherited evils from the fathers and their lands (please see that book). The causes of curses include idolatary, murder, rebellion, stealing, incest, deeping, human sacrifice, misleading the blind, occultism, fathers sins, personal sins, evil covenants, reaping and living in the cursed lands, marrying from cursed family, inheriting cursed land and cursed properties, church crisis and breaking God’s congregation.

4. EFFECTS OF CURSES ON THE MINISTRIES

There are many effects of curses on the believers if the causes are neglected or not properly broken on the believers.

1. Curses hinder peace and progress.
2. Curses cause failures and disappointments
3. Curses are the fore-runners of church crisis
4. They are devils instruments against the church
5. Foundations of family crisis in ministers home
6. Key to poverty among the believers
7. Obstacles to the way of Christian success
8. The causes of believers misfortunes
9. The secrets of dwarfish growth, peacelessness, poverty, discouragement, stagnant programme and all pastoral failures in the church.
10. The killers and destroyers of pastoral visions.
    
    
    
    5. WHY CHRISTIANS INHERIT CURSES

Christians inherit curses because of the following Biblical reasons.

1. Curses do not rebb believers their salvation
2. Because the inherit and partake on the lands, crops, properties and belongings of their idolaterous ancestors.
3. Because of their own sins and rebellions
4. Because of ancient idols, covenants and ancient beliefs in their lands.

We shall not talk about the cure until we are through and thorough with this teaching.




B . THE ROOT AND FOUNDATION OF FAMILY CURSES

Curses have roots and foundations of deeper operation and oppression. Curse causeless shall not come. Biblically, every trouble, misfortune, sorrowful events has it’s root and foundation done or done in times past by the ancestors.

1. ROOT OF CURSES

5. Infected house and building.
6. Infected crops, seeds and plants.
7. Polluted properties in the house.
8. Stolen items dumped within human abode.
9. Curses released against the victim to the offender.
10. Tithe defaulted by believers and vow deferred.
11. Rebellions against the known will of God.
12. Occult practices in times past
13. Early dedication of children to idols by parents.
14. Participation I idolalerous rituals during infancy.
    
    
    2. FOUNDATION OF CURSES

Curses have foundation and were built on evil foundations. Listed below are the foundation of curses.

1. Visible and invisible altar in the compound
2. Linage of idolatory in the family.
3. Ancestral curses observed in a linage.
4. Rebellious linage that attracted curses
5. Killing of twins and missionaries.
6. Incestuous linage faintly observed.
7. Infected family that had anger of God.
8. Sins committed by the ancestors.
9. The land, crops, properties and fruits belonging to the ancestors that are been harvested by ministers today.
10. The long jail term of the ancestors not finished before their death that the present people are suffering.
11. The unfinished anger of God from the past four generations (400 years) till our time.
    
    3. MANIFESTATIONS OF CURSES IN THE MINITRIES AND AT HOMES

There are seven specific ministerial manifestation in curses or curses appearances in the ministries.

1. Where a minister has curses he has more crisis than peace.
2. When a minister has curses he has goals without scoring.
3. Curses in the ministries manifest in frequent diminishing of membership.
4. Curses show themselves in the ministries through hunger, hardship and poverty at home and in the ministries of the pastor.
5. A cursed minister experiences at his altar what has father experienced in the farm and what his brothers experience in their businesses.
6. A cursed minister does not have any favour from others and often receives blames where he expects praises.
7. His ministries magmarols, pramblets and stagnant, no matter the years of his experiences and daily efforts he may employ to improve things.

 

LINGERING AND UNDISCOVERED CURSES

There are lingering and hidden agents of curses that continues hindering our plans.

1. The invisible ancient shrines.
2. The invisible ancient altars at home
3. The invisible and unnoticed evil forest.
4. The militating and unnoticed covenants.
5. The polluted lands and their seeds.
6. The ancient anger of God in the land.
7. Rebellion and bold rejection of God.
8. The blood of the innocent citizens killed.
9.  The blood of the missionaries killed
10. The influence of ritual, festivities and modernized evil cultures in the land.

 

WHY AND HOW: Curses can never allow you to be what God wants you to be until you deal with it and until you are free from that and all their entanglements.

CURE: We shall not treat the cure here until we come to the end of this series.

C . THE FOUR FOLD STRATEGIES OF THE DEMONS AGAINST THE CHURCH
               (SEE OUR BOOK, STRUGGLE VOL 1 CHAPTER 2)   

Here we shall treat the four fold strategies of the demons. We cannot fight whom we do not know. We have problems because some demons know us but we don’t know them. Demons are strategies; they have plans, set goals and carry on their activities. Today we shall study and disorganize their strategies and vision. We are talking about four fold strategies of the demons.

1. Strategies against the church.
2. Strategies against the families.
3. Strategies against individuals.
4. Strategies against the society.

 

These are the four major areas where Satan and his messengers focus their activities and without these four areas their ministries become vanities.

1. STRATEGIES AGAINST THE CHURCH:

What is now happening in your church? Sleeping while preaching is going on? Power tussle? Financial disagreement? Sin in the higher places? Scandals, gossip or backbiting? Tension or distrust among the members? Crisis, confusion or quarreling at the altar? Withdrawal of your members, ministerial sabotage or dwarfish growth have you ever reason wisely to know what is happening in your church?

11. WHEN DEMONS COME TO CHURCH:

When demons come to the church weakness reign, evangelism ceased, zeal quenched, unity destabilized, goal fails, confusions emerges, position seeking sprang, selfishness projected, church growth stopped, eyes on men goes to money, disrespect comes and the result of all these are the withdrawal of the members, death of the church and stagnancy in growth or at times crisis in the church leading to the closure of such church. Let us be careful nowadays.

111. EMONS STRATEGIES AGAINST HOMES OR FAMILIES

Families are the devils number one enemy that was why he targeted Adam’s family, when your family is in trouble, your heart, church and business can never be at peace and demons know these. Below are demons evil plans against families.

1. Wives are their weak agents to enter families.
2. Children are their victims to cause sicknesses.
3. Demons are pocket driers and confusion setters.
4. They cause quarrelling and disunity in the families and through that hinders their prayers.
5. Through the wife they disorganize the man’s idea and put the man into confusion, poverty, anxiety, fear and faithlessness, through all these, they control such families.
6. When the family is not in order according to God’s will, sickness, death,  losses, poverty, pains and afflictions become easy for Satan to plant in such family.
7. When the demons get any family there will be no progress and success in such family.
   
   IV. DEMONS STRATEGIES AGAINST INDIVIDUALS

Demons are not friends but enemies. They hate man, the greatest creature of God. Demons mapped out different strategies to deal with men and these strategies are among what men are suffering today in their homes, businesses and ministries. Among these demonic strategies are below.

1. AFFLICTION: This is devil’s strategy to strick, hit attack and to humiliate man with sickness, sorrow or with painful issue in order to win man.

2. INITIATION: This is devils strategy to bring man under his control by making man his subject, while the demons become the objects of worship and respect.

3. POSSESSION: This is a condition where the demons filled the hearts of man, speak through him, control him and live in him as Holy ghost lives in believers.

4. DEPRESSION: This is the demons strong strategy to reduce man’s personality and make him to fear and to respect the demons. It is a condition where man sees himself inferior and sees devil as his superior.

5. OPPRESSION: This is the cruel ruler ship of the devil over a man. It is a condition where the devil has succeeded to make man poor, sick, foolish, sinful, full of fear and suspicious.

6. DECEPTION: This is a condition where the demons deceive their victims with false hope, false prophecies, heresies, delusions, magics, flashy issues, worldly life, with lies and a condition where the devil cheated his victims with what are not real but make the victims believe such falsehood as the best.

7. SEDUCTION: This is a condition when devil can magnify sins, dangers, troubles, death and evil will. This is the devil’s strategy on Adams family. When man is on devil’s will, his relationship with God dies and goes.

8. MANUPULATION: This is a condition where demons disorganized man’s plans and overtakes his original plans and makes man to be doubtful, unsteady, in fear and always in distrust to whatever is available.

9. OBSSESSION: This is the condition where the devil fills man’s heart with fear, impossibilities, giants, wars, troubles, sorrows and with different evils, suspicisions, anxiety and faithlessness in order to rule and control man.

10. DESTBILIZATION: This is a condition where the demons face an individual, family or group of people with severe attacks in order to push them down, destroy their efforts, hinder their success, cease their progress, destroy their peace and destroy their plans, resulting to poverty, hardship, failures, disappointments and sorrows.

11. REGRESSION: This is when demons make people to go back to sin………


V. DEMONS STRATEGIES AGAINST THE SOCIETY

It is no more exaggeration that the target of the devil is to ensure the community of man. The devil does this by introducing sins and cannot do anything successful without bringing their victims to sin or failures. Below are demons strategies against our society.

1. To make the society forget eternity.
2. To reveal the glory of the world and to hide the blessings of God.
3. To introduce magics in places of miracles.
4. To raise and magnify false preachers, occult teachers in place of true ministers.
5. To face the world with prosperity without salvation and repentance.
6. To make the people forget God and all His promises.
7. To make people selfish.



D. THE AFRICAN CONCEPT OF MANAGEMENT IN THE CHURCH
(SEE OUR BOOK, THE PULPIT AND CHURCH ADMIN CHAPTER 2)

Management of the church is a necessity to church growth and church stability. The church needs solid Administration, functional management, steady directorship and unceasing leadership. These four things are not the same but four different issues needed by the church to survive but our today’s emphasis shall be on managerial functions.

WHAT IS MANAGEMENT IN THE CHURCH?
Management simply means the control of five important things in the church of God, namely, men, money, machineries, materials and ministries. Steady control and direct care to these five issues in the church shall lead to church growth, peace and to church stability.

1. MANAGEMENT OF MEN:

This is using men for the specific posts they are qualified for, it is training men for specific offices and posts in the churches. Using men for the duties they were called for, trained for, stand for and for the posts they can represent very well. Knowing who is who in the church and using men for duties they can perform well without compromise or favouritism. Evangelist for evangelism, teacher for teaching work, accountant for financial work, prayer warrior for prayer works and elders for decision making.

11. MANAGEMENT OF MONEY:

This is idea of using money for the specific purposes it was raised, the idea of sincere accountability on how, where and the cash was spent. Financial management is known why the money should be spent, why it must be raised and the purpose it must be raised with the specific records of incomes disbursements. Every cash raised in the church must be spent for the purpose in which the money was raised for, any diversion is sin.

111. MANAGEMENT OF MECHINERIES:

 This is the management of music equipment, sound systems and other church machineries. The equipment committee shall be appointed who shall make sure that the machineries, microphones amplifies, sound boxes and other equipment are in good serving order before each service. The light, bulbs, wires or generators must be in good serving other including the computers, videos and other recording agents must be in good serving order during and before the service time.

1V. MANAGEMENT OF MATERIALS:

Material issues in the church can hinder church progress if not properly handled. Material issues such as the wedding foods, wedding drinks, wedding garments, wedding flowers, wedding halls, holy communion foods, altar materials, church seats, song books, choir seats and other worship materials to be ready on or before the service day and time. The ushers, church workers shall keep all Sunday school materials ready before the service day and the service hour. This is all we call the management of church materials.

V. MANAGEMENT OF THE MINISTRIES:

This is the ministers knowledge and maturity to understand what the ministry demands at each giving time.

1. Does this ministry need revival?
2. Does this ministry need steady prayer?
3. Is this ministry weak or fainting?
4. Are we growing as expected?
5. Are members going out for evangelism?
6. Is the number ship diminishing or increasing?
7. What is wrong with my church?
8. Do we need revival, prayers or seminar?
9. Are members paying their tithes and offerings?
10. Does this church need new site or relocation?
11. What knowledge is lacking in this church?
12. What shall we do to get this church survived?
13. Shall we call an external preacher for that?
14. Whom shall we call to treat these forces?
15. What shall we tag the theme of the programme?
16. What shall be our aim and how many days shall the programme be?

THE PASTORS VISION FOR THE GROWTH
There are things the pastor should do to make his church grow, as stated below.

1. Train people to carry on your  vision.
2. Transfer your vision to others to share.
3. Create vision, pray about it, carry it on.
4. Be examples of what you want others to do.
5. Create church growth programmes in church.
6. Make joyful noise for people to hear.
7. Motivate your members to action.

 

HOW TO SCORE YOUR MINISTERIAL GOALS

To score your ministerial goals, you must do the following issues.

1. Delegate officers for the work
2. Appointment men and women for work
3. Supervise the work you assign to others.
4. Understand the specific assignment which the Lord has  called you to do.
5. Don’t derail from divine assignment no matter how hard



E. THE CHURCH WITH

PREGNANT MEMBERS
(SEE OUR BOOK, MANIFESTATIONS OF PENTECOST CHAPTER 5)

Every church member is pregnant. There are many things in you. When you were literally born, you were born with natural talents to work for the world but when  you were spiritually born, you were blessed with the spiritual gifts to work for God. Don’t despise yourself. There are many things you can do.

 

WHY YOU ARE CREATED?

You are created by God to achieve your goals as stated below.

• You can be rich and be prosperous
• You can create a great vision
• Your ideas are oceans of miracles
• Your prayers reach heaven and are stored for your miracles
• You are very important person.
• You can start meaningful business
• You are qualified to be a pastor
• You are qualified to be a mother, a father, a wife and qualified to be a husband.
• You are not an inferior person; God did not create a fool.
• You can build a house, buy cars and appear great.
• You can kill your Goliath and drown your Pharaoh.
• You are pregnant, there many things in you needed by others to benefit.
• Develop your zeal, vision and mission because the world needs them.
• Make more attempt today, don’t stop at the level of your present progress.
• There are many things in you that can only spring when you put them at work.
• Give your ability responsibility and see how great you shall be in the next few years.
• You are pregnant, don’t  die with the pregnancy.
• The greatest sorrow is when pregnant woman dies with her pregnancy.
• The most tragic death is when one dies without developing things planted in him.
• The world, the church, your family need your services, your blessings and the benefits of things in you, vomit all.
• Your brain and mind are the richest place on earth, think wisely, act wisely and be rich.
• Don’t stop your vehicle at the back of a parked and break-down vehicle.
• You are very useful, very powerful, very good, very reasonable and very effective, don’t allow Satan to destroy you.
• You can achieve something meaningful and successful, make attempt. 

 

F. LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO
(SEE OUR BOOK, LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO CHAPTERS 3 AND 4)

The will of God concerning man is salvation, redemption, deliverance and man’s total freedom.

When JESUS raised Lazarus who had been in the grave for four days, after raising the dead up from the grave, He gave order to “LOOSE HIM AND LET TO”.

In our studies today, we shall outline few important things that can set African man free and make his ministry very prosperous.

1. All afflicted or cursed person must acknowledged his bad condition.
2. He must desire freedom and deliverance.
3. He must make all wrongs, right
4. Every required confession, restitution or settlements, must be done
5. Breaking and burning of all idols, evil altars and ancient shrines around.
6. Uprooting all visible and invisible demonic foundations and all evil links.
7. Cutting down and burning all demonic trees, evil forests, sacred animals and all demon related properties.
8. Abhore the lands, crops and products from the cursed land and demonic environment.
9. Check your house property, whether there is any that was wrongly possessed and return the same to its appropriate place.
10. Pay your tithes, give your offerings and redeem your pledges properly.
11. Give respect to the gospel  ministers and expect and demand their blessings
12. Make sure you are prayed for, by a true minister of the gospel who has a proper knowledge of the African problems.

 

PERSONAL AMPHIBIOUS PRAYER WARFARE

Deliverance goes with prayers for and prayers against. The prayers shall be against family demons in the land, those in the sea, those on the air and powers in the forest. Such prayer demands loosing and binding and must be prayed with all seriousness by the victims.


CONFESSIONAL PRAYERS OF DELIVERANCE

There are four most important confessional prayers of total deliverance by any African who needs deliverance from curses, from demons and from the land pollution of his fathers.

1. There must be through, through and true confession of personal sins of the victim.
2. There must be strong confession of the sins of the ancestors who were idolaters, murders, haters of God and rebels, that God should forgive the victim who is alive and not ancestors who were dead.
3. There must be confession and denouncing of all evil covenants made in the land, made in the family, made on behalf of the victim, made in dreams or when the victims was in the womb that such covenants shall be declared void and meaningless to the victim.
4. The victim, after praying the three afore mentioned prayers must now tell God his needs, his heart desires and all he wants God to do for him.
5. After these stages, a strong man of God should lay land, pray and confirm all and also declare the former victim free.

 

EIGTH PROBLEMS OF THE AFRICAN GOSPEL MINISTERS

There are great and significant problems among the African gospel ministers irrespective of their spirituality and knowledge. Among these problems are those written below.

1. Bad family foundation (foundation of idolatry)
2. Polluted inheritance (evil and curses from ancestors)
3. Environmental troubles (territorial problems of sin and sickness)
4. Ancestral cults (the powers of fathers gods still around)
5. Land covenants (covenants and rituals with demons that govern the land)
6.  Demonic origin (Born into the sinful, rebellions and demonic foundations and the land given to demons).
7. Cursed properties (living and enjoying cursed properties of the ancestors).
8. The invisible altars that exist (there are millions and millions of invisible altars in African families today that are not seen but dangerously exist).

 

NOTE:  The presence of these in Africa causes death, failure, poverty, hardship, disappointment, troubles, pains, sorrows, curses and all unfriendly, hostile and unwanted experiences among the African ministers and their churches. Unless the root and foundation of the African ministers are thoroughly treated, rooted out, broken and delivered, the African ministers will still remain poor, beggarly and sufferings. There is need for the total deliverance of the African ministers before they can be healed and delivered and loosed together with their African clients.
