THE HISTORY

Compassionate woman out reach ministries was founded by Rev DR (Mrs.) Alice Zuriel Ononuju, the wife of Rev Prof Emma Ononuju, the general overseer of Redemption Campaigners Mission Nigeria. The birth of compassionate women outreach ministries was founded by Rev. Dr (Mrs.) Alice Zuriel Ononuju the wife of Rev. Prof Emma Ononuju, the General over seer of Redemption Campaigners Mission Nigeria. The birth of compassionate women outreach ministries was as a result of the great burden and great compassionate which God laid in the heart Mrs. Alice Zuriel Ononuju in 1996, about the suffering of the orphans, the agony of the abandoned children, the pains of the widows and the sufferings of the poor sick Christians in the hospitals who had no money to pay their medical bills.

These burden grew higher!! And higher each day and continues to increase every hour that she started weeping and crying because of the situation these innocent creatures of God. in 1998, she started praying for God’s help on these people, which she also put into practice by establishing widows, orphans and prison visitation every month, with food items and little cash at her reach. She continued visiting orphanage homes, prisons and hospitals with little gifts at her reach, but in the years 2002, God spoke to her, that she was playing off the point and outside the field, that the burden is a sign of what God wants her to do, that her ministry is not to visit these people, but to house them, care for them, feed them shelter them and train them, that she must establish an orphanage home inorder to feed, care, train and to make the orphans what God wished them to be in live. Having thinking on how possible that could be because she was already a minister’s wife, taking care of a local church and the District at large, because her husband at that time was a District superintendent in their church, while she had been a pastor’s wife for over nineteen years by them.

This revelation of opening an orphanage home and widow’s center disturbed her so much because there was no money to start these. She started praying with different conditions to God appealing that God should shift or remove such burdens from her but instead of God shifting the burden; God rather increased the burden higher than expected. Under this condition, she started managing herself, living in sorrow because, there was no money to run the ministries hence the ministries involve much money. It was about July 2005 that she surrendered to God and agreed to establish the orphanage home and widow’s center in Aba, Abia State of Nigeria. Having agreed on this, another year passed when God gave her the name of the ministry which is today known as COMPASSIONATE WOMEN OUTREACH MINISTRY. The ministry was officially established in 2006 and was incorporated in Abuja in as an orphanage in 2008, then registered in Umuahia, Abia state at women affairs commission and ministry of social welfare, in 2008 also. Today this ministry as an orphanage home making great impact in the specific areas of its calling.

SCRIPTURAL PREAMBLES

Ministry Preamble and scripture Quotations
But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully, and every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly or if necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

II Cor 9:6-8

And whatsoever ye do, it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men, knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of inheritance, for ye serve the Lord. Col. 3:23, 24. But lay up for yourself treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.  Mtt. 6:20, 21
Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over shall men give into your bosom for with the some measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Lk 6:38.

Keep therefore these words of covenant and do them that you may prosper in all that ye do. Deut 29:9
There is that scattered, and yet increased: and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat; and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Prov. 11:24, 25
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the wisdom, is God his holy habitation.
Psalm 68:5
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:27

Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows. We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. Our necks are under persecution: We labour, and have no rest.

Lamentations 5:2-5

Then shall the king say unto them on his right hand, come, ye blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you form the foundation of the world. for I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me, then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we hungered, and geed thee? Or thirsty and gave thee drink? Or when saw the sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the king shall answer and say unto them, verily I saw unto you, in as much as ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:34-B

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:2, 10
If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the spirit, if any bowels and mercies. Fulfil ye joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Philippians 2:1-2

And let us consider on another to provoke unto love and to good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Hebrews 10:24,25

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15

And whosever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple; verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Matthew 10:42

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 6:10

if a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:15-17

And the people asked him, saying, what shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

Luke 3:10, 11

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

Galatians 61-6

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our liver for the brethren.
But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutted up hi bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
My little children let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

John 2:16-18>

For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:4, 5

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and the members of that one body being, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free: and have been all made to drink into one spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. It the foot shall say, because I am not the hand, I am not of the body: is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? It the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more these members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour: and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.  For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacke: That there should be no schism in the body: but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps government, diversities of tongues.

I Corinthians 12:12-28

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

I Thessalonians 5:12, 13

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of GO: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves for the watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that the y may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

Hebrews 13:7-17

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love; in honour preferring on another;  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 13:10,11, 13

And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless your bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in they land: the number of thy days I will fulfill.

Exodus 23:25,26

And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Deuteronomy 10:12.

And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and t serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, that I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thin oil. And I will send grass in thy field for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Romans 13:10

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way, o when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Psalm 101:2

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, and be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or failing or railing: but contrariwise blessing, knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue form evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

I Peter 3: 8 -11

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledged him, and he shall direct they paths.
